One week after seeing their seven-game winning streak come to an end, West bounced back by downing Fulton 22-0 on a rain-soaked night.
The Rebels fell in overtime at Powell a week ago, which cost them a chance at a possible Region 3-5A title.
However, West regrouped to beat the Falcons, its first win over Fulton since 2012.
Both teams had a hard time with the weather conditions, and West didn’t get on the board until linebacker Drew Francis blocked a punt, picked up the ball and ran it in late in the second quarter to give West a 7-0 lead, which it carried into halftime.
The Rebels got two more second half touchdowns on scoring runs by tailback Jai Hundley, and added a safety a bad snap by the Falcons.
West ends the regular season Friday when it hosts Campbell County on senior night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
